Following in the footsteps of our post from last week, we have three more fantastic speakers to introduce. These three eHealth professionals will be demystifying the secrets of technology and programming, explaining how they developed successful eInterventions within real-world constraints.
Dr. Deborah Mayer, PhD, RN, AOCN, FAAN, is a professor in the Adult and Geriatric Health Division in the School of Nursing, as well as UNC Lineberger Director of Cancer Survivorship. Dr. Mayer will discuss her experiences with developing an eHealth application in cancer care.
Karen Erickson, MPH, RD, is the Project Manager of the Weight Research Program, directed by Dr. Deborah Tate, at UNC. Ms. Erickson will share experiences and lessons learned in the adaptation of traditionally delivered behavioral weight interventions into different technologies and working with web programmers to accomplish the research goals.
Anne Cabell, MPH, is the Project Manager at both UNC Lineberger Cancer Prevention and Control and CHAI Core. Ms. Cabell will describe the development of a website and the adaptation of the Carolina Health Assessment and Resource Tool (CHART) from paper and pencil intervention to an electronic resource available to UNC researchers.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn the tricks of the trade from professionals with real-world experience in the field! Please join us on October 31st!
