We are very excited to officially announce the three presenters who will be speaking during our “All Things Considered: Examining the Pros and Cons of Technologies” talk on October 31st!
Dr. Carmina Valle, Postdoctoral Fellow at UNC Lineberger Cancer Comprehensive Center, will discuss her research experience using Facebook as a medium for health communication and promoting physical activity among cancer survivors.
Dr. Carol Golin, Associate Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Health Behavior at UNC Chapel Hill and Director of UNC CFAR Social and Behavioral Science Research Core, will detail her research on a text-based intervention for persons in incarceration living with HIV.
Finally, Dr. Arlene Chung, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at UNC Chapel Hill, will describe her research involving social media and wearables.
